US Powerball Prizes
The US Powerball holds the crown for the largest jackpot win of any lottery in the the world ever!
This is staggering when you consider that its compatriot lottery , the US Mega Millions has generated a jackpot as large as $1.537 Billion in October 2018.
However it still wasn't quite large enough to top the US Powerball's $1.586 Billion jackpot that was won by three incredibly lucky tickets in Jan 2016.
It seems unfathomable that a jackpot will ever surpass this, but with the US Powerball's opening jackpot of $40,000,000 and the unlimited roll overs, who knows!

Interestingly the largest jackpots of the Powerball always seem to be slightly higher than that of the Mega Millions. On average about 12.6%. This could be down to the Powerball having slightly more annual players, (maybe as it was established 4 year earlier or has better odds , who knows )
